Worship in Africa

Without a doubt, church services in Africa are MUCH different than they are in the US. You will not find padded pews, airconditioning, lattes, and many other modern conveniences. There may or may not be a roof, running water, or electricity. There may or may not be instruments or a sound system. However, that does not prevent them from worshipping God. The worship service here is VERY lively. This is a brief audio recording from a recent service that we attended which took place under a tarp. Hope you enjoy it.

The Corporate Life Transition

I have had the privilege to work as an IT professional in the Tulsa area for nearly 25 years at tremendous companies, alongside outstanding people, and with exciting new technologies. In April of 2019, I resigned from a company (ONEOK INC.) that I had applied to work at for many years. All of us have those moments where we look back and wonder what would have happened if we would have perused a different path. I have made the decision to take that different path and pursue a calling that I feel passionate about.

In May a non-profit (Bible Truth Ministries) was established and we have partnered with another non-profit (A2Z Missions) in order to do missions work in Africa. My family and I have liquidated all our assets and are making plans to move to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in August of this year. The purpose of the mission is to provide leadership and Bible training to Pastors and Bishops in the surrounding countries.

Many of those whom I have worked with in the past have been EXTREMELY supportive in this new endeavor. Some of you have donated or committed to donate once we were up and going. For that, I am very grateful and humbled. We are currently traveling full time in the states in order to raise awareness and funding here before we leave. The transition has gone relatively smooth thus far and many people across the nation are excited about this opportunity. Thank you to those who have offered kind words of encouragement and those who have offered financial support. Without the generous donations and support of great people like you, this would not be possible.

Our website is set up to accept credit card donations as well as information on where to send checks stateside. We will post a blog there as well as have a monthly newsletter that will go out to those who sign up. I can assure you that you do not want to miss the updates along the way. Thank you in advance for considering to come alongside us in support of following this calling.

Thank you,

Jessie Stewart

A2Z Announcement

INTRODUCING OUR FULL-TIME MISSIONARY TO SOUTHERN AFRICA

A2Z Missions is excited to announce that we are adding a permanent, full-time missionary to our team! Brother and Sister Jessie Stewart from Tulsa, Oklahoma (Pastor Gary Howard’s church) will be heading to Zimbabwe in August of this year. We feel very confident that the hand of God is upon the Stewart family, and that the Lord is going to use them in a mighty way as the work in Africa continues to grow.
